VietNamNet Bridge - The preservation of My Son World Cultural Relics with the help of UNESCO has entered the second phase.
The project to preserve My Son is funded from the Italian government with US$435, 000 in non refundable aid and US$19, 000 from Vietnam.
The Italian government has agreed to provide non-refundable aid of more than $435, 000 to preserve the ancient Cham tower complex in My Son, the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province said Wednesday.
The funding has been allocated for the second phase of the project, due to be finished in 18 months, which will preserve the Group G towers of the world heritage site
The project also aims to increase the skills of experts and craftsmen in the local community, to preserve and upgrade important archaeological sites, create a foundation for the study and preservation of historical sites and heighten the cultural diversity in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
