Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, our guide will greet and accompany you to your hotel. Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi (B/L)

The morning is free. Then your tour will begin with a Cyclo Rickshaw Tour through the Old Quarter of Hanoi. After lunch you will be taken to the Museum of Ethnology, which is an excellent museum containing the ethnic costumes of the various minorities of Vietnam, as well as relics, tools and even full size replicas of their homes and buildings. Afterward, you will be taken to the Hoan Kien Temple by the lake. Dinner on guest's account. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi City Tour (B/L)

You will visit the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Mausoleum and the surrounding grounds. Afterwards you will visit the Confucius Temple of Literature. In addition to the interesting grounds and buildings of the temple, they also have a concert of traditional Vietnamese music (complete with traditional ethnic costumes). The rest of the day is free for independent exploration. Evening Options: Water Puppets Theater. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Today you are going to one of the most beautiful places on the face of the earth, Halong Bay! You will be driven north out of Hanoi, through the Hanoi Delta and along the Halong harbor. There you will board a private ship (or ships) to cruise through the spectacular islands, eat lunch in the midst of the beautiful areas and visit the caves (possibly swim in bay). Stay overnight on the boat.

Day 5: Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Continue in gorgeous Halong Bay.

Day 6: Halong - Hanoi (B/L)

You can kayak in this gorgeous area or ride a motorboat. Then you will cruise back to the harbor and then drive back to the Hanoi. Rest of the day is free. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 7: Hue (B/L)

Breakfast at hotel. Free until transfer to the airport for flight to Hue, where your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Once you are settled you will take a bicycle or cyclo or car to visit the Imperial Citadel - first built by king Gia Long in 1805. Here you will visit Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, The Mieu Temple, and the Nine Dynastic Urns. There is a cultural show here which is itself a World Heritage Cultural experience! Dinner on guest's account. Overnight in Hue.

Day 8: Hue - Danang (B/L)

After Breakfast you will be driven southwards Danang. On the way, stop at Hai Van Pass to take photos. You can stop to visit the Marble Mountains with its beautiful grottoes and temples. If you walk to the top of the Marble Mountain steps you will get a very good view of the area including East Sea. Rest of the day is free. Overnight at resort in Danang.

Day 9: Danang - The East Sea (B)

Free Day to enjoy your resort at East Sea.

Day 10: Danang - Hoian (B/L)

In the morning you can visit the Museum of Cham Sculpture to see a fine collection of some 300 sandstone sculptures of gods, beasts and celestial dancing girls of exquisite beauty - created between the 7th to 15th centuries from the Champa Empire. Then we will drive you to Hoi An and check you into your hotel. Free on your own. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 11: Hoian (B)

Free day to explore Hoian ancient town on your own.

Day 12: My Son Holy Land (B/L)

Today you will drive out and visit My Son Holy Land. This is the 7th-12th Century ruins for the Cham kingdom. Free in the afternoon. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 13: Hoian - Danang - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. There your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon you will be given a general city tour of Saigon and visit the War Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral, City Post-Office and Lam Son Square. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta (B/L)

In the morning you will be taken to the Mekong Delta. You will visit the paper factory, the puffed rice and candy factories and take various boats and cars as you pass through the beautiful scenery of the various canals of the Mekong River. You will spend the night at Can Tho.

Day 15: Can Tho - Chau Doc (B/L)

You will get up early in the morning to go to the fascinating Floating Market. After this excellent adventure, you will be taken northwest to see floating farmhouses, the Cham villages, the pagodas of the sacred mountains and finally to reach the village of Chau Doc.

Day 16: Chau Doc (B)

Continue in the area. Some free time as well.

Day 17: Chau Doc - Phnom Penh (B/L)

Today you will take the 25 person Victoria Powerboat up the Mekong River from Vietnam to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. You will arrive mid-day and your guide will meet you when you arrive in town and transfer you to your hotel. Once you have rested you can visit the National Museum. Evening Option: Foreign Correspondent’s Club. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 18: Phom Penh (B/L)

Today you will can visit the King’s Palace which features the interesting combination of French architecture and Cambodian roofs. There are also many fascinating artifacts and cultural treasures in the buildings. If you want to explore the tragic cruel Khmer Rouge regime you can visit the Genocide Museum and after lunch the Killing Fields (outside of town). Otherwise you can enjoy shopping at the local market an/or visit the small Buddhist temple on the only mound in Phnom Penh. This area of Cambodia is so flat that this the town Phnom Penh is named after it.

Day 19: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap (B/L)

You can either take the boat from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap or you can fly. This is an exciting larger power boat which seats about 100. You will go through the Mekong River to the Ton Le Sap river and ultimately to the massive lake, Ton Le Sap.

Day 20: Siem Reap (B/D)

The tour begins with Angkor Thom, the ancient capital city. After lunch you will be taken to Angkor Wat, the main temple area. The early afternoon is free. In the late afternoon you will meet the directors of the Cambodian Cultural Show and have the opportunity to see their costumes. Evening: Dinner and Cambodian cultural show.

Day 21: Siem Reap (B/L)

Today you will go to Bantay Srei, which is the pink stone temple area. After lunch you will see the Ta Prohm, which is the remarkable site where the trees and the monastery intertwine in many intriguing ways. Then you will return to your hotel.

Day 22: Siem Reap - Bangkok (B)

Today we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Bangkok where your guide will meet and transfer you to your hotel. The afternoon is free to rest, explore or shop. Then we will pick you up for dinner followed by a complimentary 2-hour Thai massage.

Day 23: Bangkok (B/L)

Today begins with a trip to the Reclining Buddha Temple, which features a giant Buddha statue over 100 feet in length. After lunch you will go to the incredible Grand Palace with Wat Pra Kaeo. Evening: Traditional Thai dinner with classical dances and traditional performances.

Day 24: Bangkok - Chieng Mai (B/L)

You leave early in the morning to visit the Floating Market. Here you will ride on the canals through an older Thai river neighborhood and onto the actual Floating Market area. After lunch you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Chiang Mai. There your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 25: Chieng Mai (B/L)

After breakfast you will visit the Elephant Camp, see the elephant show, cultural show and take a one hour elephant ride, go on a bamboo raft and learn about the noble Asian elephant and the worker monkeys. You will also visit the Orchid Farm. Evening - Khantoke dinner with hill tribe dances.

Day 26: Chieng Mai (B/L)

e day begins with a visit to the Doi Suthep, the ancient temple sight. After lunch you will visit the Handicraft "villages" which are actually the various factories of the products the Thais are well known for: silk, silver crafting, umbrellas, cloisonne, furniture and leather.

Day 27: Chieng Rai (B/L)

After breakfast you will go on an excursion to Chiang Rai. Along the way you will visit the hill tribe villages where you will meet the Aca, the Hmong, Yao and the Karen. Many of the natives have stands with handicrafts, hats, weaving, embroideries, etc. Lunch will be at local restaurants along the way. Then you will arrive in Chiang Rai and check into the hotel.

Day 28: Golden Triangle (B/L)

You will visit the Queen Mother's Home and Garden, Doi Tung. Afterward we will take you to the Burmese border. Then you will visit the historic Golden Triangle where three countries share a border, Thailand, Laos and Burma. You will see the small Opium Museum and also where two rivers join the three nations. Then you will take a ride on a small river boat to the Burmese side and stop on a small island owned by Laos.

Day 29: Bangkok - Phuket (B/L)

You will transfer to the airport for return flight to Bangkok and continue onto Phuket. There your guide will meet you and transfer you to your beach resort.

Day 30: Phuket (B/L)

Free Day Option: A "jungle safari" which includes an elephant ride, a boating experience, a fairly unique elephant show and elephant demonstration as well as a monkey show. Evening option: Fantasee, the excellent multi-media show.

Day 31: Phuket (B)

Free Day Option: The Phi Phi islands tour (this all day tour includes a high speed boat ride through the beautiful Phi Phi islands, some snorkeling experiences, beach stops including famous May Bay, lunch on the main Phi Phi island and some time to lounge and work on a tan). Dinner at a beautiful Thai restaurant.

Day 32: Bangkok (B/L)

You will be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Bangkok. We will book you into a hotel near the airport which has a complimentary shuttle to your hotel.

Day 33: Departure (B)

Today you will return home with a lifetime of wonderful memories.
