Photos, documents and objects featuring gong heritage of the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai are on display at an exhibition that opened in the Gia Lai provincial Museum on Jan. 11.

The exhibition is part of activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Under the theme “Gia Lai gong heritage – traditional and contemporary”, the month-long exhibition captures the spiritual life of people of ethnic groups in the locality through different periods of time.

The cultural space of gongs in the Central Highlands region of Vietnam was recognised by the UNESCO as the world intangible cultural heritage in 2005. (Source: VNA)
