The seventh Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Exhibition (ITE HCMC) officially kicked off on Sept. 14, drawing travel agencies and companies from 40 countries and territories worldwide.

Under the theme “Four countries – One destination”, the four-day exhibition involved the regional nations of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.

Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh said at the opening that ITE HCMC not only aims to boost cooperation and step up tourism development in the four countries, but also creates a chance for tourist companies to seek partners from key and potential markets in the region.

Within the framework of the event, there will be a conference designed to promote foreign investment in tourism in the four countries and the ASEAN region as well. (Source: VNA)
